The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) General Duty (GD) Constable exam is conducted for the recruitment of candidates in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) such as the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and others. As per the revised SSC GD Constable Exam pattern, the Tier 1 exam is an online, multiple-choice-based exam.

  • The exam consists of 4 sections with 80 questions in total.
  • The duration for the SSC GD Constable Tier I exam is 60 minutes.
  • The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is conducted in bilingual languages – English and Hindi only.
  • There is a 0.50 negative marking for every incorrect answer in the SSC GD online test.
