SSC GD CONSTABLE
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) General Duty (GD) Constable exam is conducted for the recruitment of candidates in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) such as the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and others. The exam is conducted in three stages – Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
- CBT is an objective-type test consisting of four sections – General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English/Hindi language. The exam is of 100 marks and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Candidates who clear the CBT are eligible for the PET, which consists of tests such as a race, long jump, and high jump. Candidates who clear the PET are eligible for the DME.
- The DME is the final stage of the exam and consists of a medical examination to check the overall fitness of the candidate.

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern
As per the revised SSC GD Constable Exam pattern, the Tier 1 exam is an online, multiple-choice-based exam.
- The exam consists of 4 sections with 80 questions in total.
- The duration for the SSC GD Constable Tier I exam is 60 minutes.
- The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is conducted in bilingual languages – English and Hindi only.
- There is a 0.50 negative marking for every incorrect answer in the SSC GD online test.
- The questions asked in the online examination will be of High School (10th) level.
